AccuLite PL2 Series LED bollards provide energy efficiency and uniform outdoor illumination in a sleek, modern design

DES PLAINES, Ill. — Juno Lighting Group®, a leader in high-quality commercial and residential lighting solutions, announced the new AccuLite™ PL2 Series LED Bollards which provide energy efficiency and uniform illumination in commercial outdoor applications. Offering a sleek, modern design with a unique star shaped illumination pattern and two optical distributions, the AccuLite PL2 Series LED Bollards give designers the flexibility to match project landscapes. In addition, the luminaires are equipped with an optional internal motion sensor that allows building owners and maintenance professionals to realize substantial energy savings without having to alter the look of the fixtures.

Featuring rugged construction and a unique and stylish design, the 8 ¼-inch diameter bollards are constructed of durable aluminum. The luminaires provide a unique four-quadrant optic design which can be configured to light either two or four sides of the fixture, enabling designers to match the light distribution to the surrounding landscape. The four-quadrant distribution provides 360-degrees of illumination with a distinctive star pattern, while the two-quadrant version creates a 270-degree pattern that offers light shielding in one direction.

All exposed surfaces of the AccuLite PL2 LED Bollards are finished with a five-stage powder coat for optimal weather resistance, and all components are secured with fully concealed, stainless steel fasteners. The LEDs are attached directly to the top of the housing, providing efficient thermal management through the fixture exterior. The fixtures also provide remarkable color consistency by utilizing an LED chip within a 3-step MacAdam ellipse – especially important for bollards, which tend to be mounted closely together.

Additional features of the AccuLite PL2 Series LED Bollard include:

Design Lights Consortium® qualified.

UV-resistant polycarbonate lens; standard colors are white, black, bronze and silver.

A molded optical reflector that directs light away from the fixture, permitting 25-foot fixture spacing without dark areas between fixtures.

Cut-off optics that eliminate glare for pedestrians and approaching vehicles.

Optional integral battery back-up that does not require in-field wiring.

0-10 volt dimming.

These ultra-efficient LED fixtures provide a 100,000 hour L70 service life and received Best in Class honors in the 2013 Next Generation Luminaires™ Solid-State Lighting (SSL) competition administered by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).

The award-winning AccuLite PL2 Series LED Bollards are currently available through Juno Lighting Group distributors. For more information about the new fixtures and their associated features, please visit the AccuLite PL2 LED Bollard landing page.
