Bosch launches next generation Li-Ion power tool batteries with 5.0ah battery pack

Mount Prospect, Ill. - Power tool professionals continue to look for increased battery power and runtime capabilities for power hungry-system tools and all-day driving and drilling. Bosch answers this need with its newest Best Built power tool battery technology - the BAT621 5.0 Ah 18V Lithium-ion FatPack™ battery. The lightest, most compact and longest runtime FatPack style battery on the market, the BAT621 features the patented CoolPack™ technology for 100 percent longer recharge life and compatibility with the complete line of Bosch 18V Lithium-ion power tools.

The Bosch BAT621 is built with state-of-the-art high capacity low-resistance lithium-ion cells which increase the overall capacity from the current 4.0 Ah batteries by 25 percent. For professionals, this means improved runtime and performance for all tools, especially system tools such as rotary hammers, impact drivers, reciprocating saws and more. The BAT621 is then ready for more work with its Best Built CoolPack heat conductive housing, designed specifically to cool internal pack temperatures. A cooler running battery means longer recharge life - up to 100 percent longer versus similar packs without this feature.

Leveraging the latest in design innovation, the BAT621 maintains an identical size and weight footprint of the previous Bosch 4.0 Ah and 3.0 Ah 18V batteries, and is the lightest and most compact 5.0 Ah battery pack currently offered in the market. For added convenience, the pack comes standard with a fuel gauge so professionals always know they are ready to get to work.

The BAT621 will be available in May 2014 at authorized dealers nationwide for a suggested retail price of $129. To find out more or to locate a dealer, visit www.boschtools.com or call 877-BOSCH-99.
