Boston's Children’s Hospital wants to build a $23 million pedestrian bridge from the visitor parking garage right into the hospital, according to an article on the Boston Globe website.

Children’s has been trying to build a bridge there for over a dozen years, but City Hall has blocked the way because of concerns it would detract from the vitality of Longwood Avenue.

The hospital owns the short stretch of Longwood. A century ago, the hospital gave the city air rights over the street.
