Bradley Corp., a manufacturer of commercial plumbing fixtures and restroom accessories headquartered in Menomonee Falls, Wis., introduced its new all-in-one Advocate AV-Series Lavatory System to the market in June and has since won two design awards.
The Advocate AV-Series Lavatory System is the first fixture of its kind to provide a completely touchless sink with soap, faucet and hand dryer contained in one unit. A video demonstration shows users washing their hands by moving from left to right, starting with the touchless soap dispenser, then the faucet, and finishing with the hand dryer.
The ADA compliant unit is designed to keep all hand-washing requirements in one area so the user doesn’t have to move to find soap, towels or a hand dryer — ensuring water doesn’t end up on the floor or running down the walls. The design increases restroom safety by reducing the risk of slips and falls while also minimizing cleaning and maintenance needs, according to Bradley.
Touted by the manufacturer as being both energy-efficient and sustainable, the Advocate is made with recycled Terreon solid surface material that is Greenguard certified. The unit is also equipped with an infrared 0.38GPM flow faucet that reduces water usage by 24%, according to Bradley.
The Advocate has received two awards since its introduction. In June it earned a platinum level Award for Design Excellence at the 17th annual ADEX Awards presented by Design Journal magazine. Additionally, in November it was recognized with a 2012 Product Innovation Award from Architectural Products magazine.
