Ebola is believed to be susceptible to a broad range of hospital disinfectants


Four factors should be considered when choosing a disinfectant to fight Ebola, according to an article on the Becker's Infection Control & Clinical Quality website.

The factors are:

• Effectiveness at killing non-enveloped viruses and ability to work with the chosen applicators without impacting the active ingredients

• Dwell time should be an achievable contact time — five minutes or less

• Ease of use

• Simplicity of routine
