The Henry J. Carter Specialty Hospital and Nursing Facility in East Harlem, N.Y., was named 'Project of the Year' by the NY/NJ Construction Management Association of America, according to an article on the Medical Construction & Design magazine website.

The project was a joint venture of Gilbane Building Company and McKissack & McKissack.

“Through an innovative form of Integrated Project Delivery and team collaboration, we were able to turn a 36-month construction schedule into 18 months, resulting in the construction of one of New York City’s most modern healthcare centers," said William J.
