FSR receives two EC&M 2014 Product of the Year awards

Woodland Park, NJ - FSR, a leading manufacturer of a wide variety of products connecting  audio/video systems, power systems and communications systems serving many vertical markets including the education, hospitality, government, healthcare, commercial building, industrial and religious markets, is proud to announce that its iPad® Family of Theft-Deterrent Mobile Devices and DC-PCB-H-Series HDMI Digital Ribbon Cables have been named as EC&M magazine’s 2014 Product of the Year Category Winners. The iPad product family and Digital Ribbon Cables were winners in their respective Security Equipment & Systems and V/D/V Wire & Cable Products categories.

Based on a proprietary composite technology, FSR’s Digital Ribbon Cables offer users the capacity to carry 1080p and 4k x 2k HDMI signals up to 100 meters (~328 feet), nearly twice that of other “extended” solutions, with crystal clear accuracy. The product’s ultra-simple, fast installation (just pull and plug), and money-saving ability to operate without transmitters or receivers add to its appeal.

FSR’s popular and practical iPad® accessories have been engineered for strength, but designed for elegance. The iPad holder provides a graceful housing for digital signage applications.  The holder, compatible with the iPad 2 and the new iPad, mounts to a standard 2-gang wall box and provides an attractive, safe and secure method to mount the tablet to a wall in either landscape or portrait mode.  It is available with or without access to the home button and camera to fit any application requirements. The stylish housing features curved edges with no visible hardware, and is available in white, silver and black.

“I’d like to take this opportunity to congratulate EC&M’s 2014 Product of the Year Category Winners,” commented EC&M’s editor-in-chief, Mike Eby. “After 15 years of overseeing this competition, it never ceases to amaze me how many pioneering products are introduced to market each year. As you may be aware, we received a record-breaking number of entries for the 2014 competition — 200 in all, which a panel of expert judges narrowed down to what they considered to be the 44 most innovative product introductions of the past year. Congratulations on being included among the ‘best of the best,’ and thank you for your ongoing commitment to developing products that help those of us in the electrical industry perform our jobs faster, more efficiently, more profitably, and — most important — safer. And remember you are now in the running to be named the 2014 Product of the Year Platinum, Gold, or Silver Award Winner by EC&M subscribers. Good luck to you all!”

“FSR is delighted that its iPad Family of Mobile Devices as well as the HDMI Digital Ribbon Cables have received this prestigious 2014 Product of the Year Award from EC&M magazine,” said company president Jan Sandri. “As always, we look to design products that meet the needs of professionals working in a variety of markets that also deliver outstanding performance and competitive pricing. We are truly pleased that one of the very communities in which we designed this product has recognized our efforts.”

According to EC&M, a Penton publication, it received a record-breaking 200 entries, which were evaluated carefully by a panel of 16 judges, representing electrical professionals from the engineering, contracting, and plant facilities and maintenance industries. The category winners will go on to compete for the 2014 Product of the Year Platinum, Gold, and Silver awards, which will be determined through an upcoming online readers’ poll and announced in the August 2014 issue.  All 200 entries will be featured in a print tabloid showcase, which is scheduled to mail with the April issue of EC&M and May issue of Electrical Wholesaling.
