Gerflor USA strengthens market presence, expertise

Gerflor USA, the leading resilient flooring designer and manufacturer, is expanding and excelling – in sales, staff and specialty products. The company, which continues its upward trajectory since CEO Benjamin Bachman took the helm in 2013, recently welcomed four new territory sales managers and one technical specialist to its thriving team.

“We’re thrilled to have such highly skilled, highly talented professionals join Gerflor USA,” said Bachman. “Together, they bring more than 75 years of industry experience to our team, and each is passionate, enthusiastic and focused – three traits we value in all of our employees. I’m confident their contributions will greatly boost our company culture, continued growth, and reputation for quality products and people.”

New England territory sales manager Michelle Sandoval comes to Gerflor USA with more than 10 years in commercial flooring. She will work with key customer accounts to assist in the development of specifications and management of key projects in healthcare, education, retail and commercial building.

“Gerflor is the best kept secret here in the U.S.,” said Sandoval. “We also have the most positive, motivated and passionate team I have ever been a part of in my entire professional career.”

Strengthening Gerflor’s already robust healthcare offering, Lori McGilberry, Dallas territory sales manager and sitting president of the American Association of Healthcare Interior Designers (AAHID), has been a board-certified healthcare interior designer for more than 16 years. Her design career includes projects ranging in size from 50,000 square feet to more than 2 million square feet, with total construction costs upward of $650 million.

Trey Burger, San Francisco area territory sales manager, bring sector-specific expertise and knowledge of the local market will be integral in driving the Gerflor USA’s penetration of the booming multi-family industry in the Bay region.

“Gerflor has the untapped potential to become a powerhouse in the U.S.,” said Burger. “I am so impressed with its high quality products, as well as their awesome applications. I feel like I can finally be passionate about a product I sell, which is key to success.”

Georgia territory sales manager Pat Bentson boasts a wealth of commercial flooring industry knowledge. Her experience in carpet, resilient, hardwood, ceramic tile and laminates is a powerful complement to her broad market background, including healthcare, senior care, hospitality, retail and education flooring.

Beyond its expanding U.S. sales presence, Gerflor USA also strengthens its technical expertise with technical specialist Ron Whiting. Whiting comes to Gerflor with more than 20 years of experience as a flooring installer, inspector and consultant. In the last two decades, he has trained hundreds of installers in various flooring disciplines.

“What excites me most about the opportunity to work with Gerflor USA is the quality of products,” he said. “You reach a point in your career where you can’t compromise your personal integrity by working with inferior products. I had reached that point; so to work exclusively with the absolute best manufacturer in the world is a dream come true.”
