A UK group, Active by Design, calls on architects, designers and decisionmakers to encourage physically active lifestyles with building design, according to a blog by Senior Editor Anne DiNardo on the Healthcare Design website. A number of new facilities have already been designed with more attractive and accessible stairs that encourage you to walk a few flights rather than wait for the elevator, the blog said.
