The Missouri Division of Energy has awarded a low-interest loan to assist Ozarks Medical Center (OMC) with an energy-efficiency and renewable energy project, according to an article on the Ozark Radio News website.
The funded project is projected to save the hospital approximately $87,279 in energy costs annually. OMC will use this savings to repay the $681,899 loan.
The project will also reduce electricity use by more than 1,134,974 kilowatt hours (kWh) and natural gas use by 987 Million Btu (MMBtu), avoiding 850 metric tons of carbon dioxide pollution.
OMC will use the loan for several energy efficient projects including upgraded lighting, HVAC and hot water systems.
