Ohio's University Hospitals plans ambulatory health center with freestanding ED

Facility will include outpatient laboratory services, physical therapy, primary and specialty care physician services


University Hospitals in Broadview Heights, Ohio, is planning a $28-million, state-of-the-art outpatient health center and freestanding emergency department (ED), according to an article on the Medical Construction & Design website.

The 52,000-square-foot ambulatory health center will include outpatient laboratory services, physical therapy and primary and specialty care physician services. 

The freestanding ED will be operational 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and will be fully integrated medically and operationally with UH Parma Medical Center, the article said.
