St. Barnabas Medical Center stresses safety, privacy in design
CEO discusses the strategy behind hospital's new family pavilion
St. Barnabas Medical Center's CEO stressed safety, privacy when discussing the strategy behind hospital's new family pavilion in an article on the Hospitals & Health Networks website.
The Cooperman Family Pavilion at the Livingston, N.J., healthcare facility was built with input from the hospital’s patient and family advisory council.
"One of the elements that we were very sensitive and careful to include is privacy. Having all private rooms in our new building was very important," Stephen Zieniewicz said.
"Safety is our No. 1 priority. Every room has its own sink for the health care personnel, right by the doors."
