University of Rochester Medical Center Selects Virtual Mgr's HealthClean Pro Environmental Services Management Platform

Virtual Mgr is a software company dedicated to improving Environmental Services (EVS) operational efficiencies, especially those within healthcare facilities. Virtual Mgr provides the data to better manage workflows -- even unscheduled events and absenteeism within the organization's workforce are not a problem for Virtual Mgr.

Virtual Mgr is pleased to announce that the University of Rochester Medical Center's Facilities Department has deployed the Virtual Mgr HealthClean Pro EVS Management Platform. HealthClean Pro allows even the simplest or most complex healthcare EVS groups to more effectively manage their environmental services programs through improved staff scheduling, procedural accuracy, and real-time access to data and metrics for continuous improvement and precise program applications.

"The University of Rochester Medical Center is a recognized national leader in healthcare and research and is one of the largest and most well respected medical treatment and research facilities in Upstate New York," said Anil Patel, Virtual Mgr Chief Executive Officer. "We are honored that they have selected HealthClean Pro to support improvements in HCAHPS scores, facility cleanliness, and EVS employee productivity and to help them reduce EVS costs."

The University of Rochester Medical Center identified the data management and reporting engine as the most powerful aspect of HealthClean Pro. It enables the creation of benchmarks to help compare performance against pre-defined institution and industry standards. HealthClean Pro delivers data and critical management metrics so administrators can more fully understand how labor hours are being spent in their facilities. This data ultimately provides better information which leads to better control of their budgets, staff and resources.

"When we came across Virtual Mgr's HealthClean Pro EVS Management Platform, there was an 'aha' moment where we said, 'wow,' we now have some new tools in our tool belt to do things that we were not able to do before," said Mark Schwartz, Director of Operations, University of Rochester Medical Center. "At the end of the day, HealthClean Pro has allowed us to better understand our operation and make better decisions."

Specifically designed for the healthcare market, HealthClean Pro is completely cloud-based.The program is built around drag-and-drop functionality and can be easily integrated with any legacy or software system already being used by a facility. The software operates across a wide variety of platforms and devices including smartphones, tablets, and desktop PCs. HealthClean Pro is completely customizable to support the specific needs and goals of a healthcare institution or any institution requiring tools to take their program to the next level of performance and efficiency. The program can support both English and Spanish, with additional languages available through a download.

Critical features of HealthClean Pro include the ability to create and schedule tasks and provide real-time updates, including geo-location, and time-stamping of task completion. HealthClean Pro allows tasks to be distributed evenly across the workforce and among peers. This helps promote greater accountability, since staff must electronically sign off on the work as it's completed.

"HealthClean Pro is incredible and makes our EVS team so much more efficient. The information that we need to manage the facility to a higher standard is at our fingertips in real time and we can do it at a much lower cost," said Christopher Licata, Assistant Director of Facilities and Environmental Services, University of Rochester Medical Center.

An additional feature of HealthClean Pro is its ability to store procedural best practices for cleaning tasks, including a detailed list of products required for each task. The platform can push specific procedural information out to EVS staff. This helps avoid the inefficiencies of waiting for supervisors to provide instruction, and prevents the risk of applying improper cleaning products that could create additional costs for the institution to correct or repair.

HealthClean Pro can also support a safer healthcare environment. Supervisors can quickly communicate with staff directly through a tablet and deploy staff to manage an environmental emergency, thereby minimizing the risk of infection.
