Virtual Mgr Announces New Customers in California and New York

Rochester, New York-based Virtual Mgr, which provides a technology platform designed to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of how environmental services (EVS) are delivered in health care facilities, announced today that two new customers have signed on to use its HealthClean Pro Environmental Services platform.

Rochester, New York-based commercial cleaning company Clean Craft and San Diego-based Job Options Inc., which offers maintenance and hospital environmental services employment opportunities to disabled, capable individuals across the United States — are now using Virtual Mgr’s HealthClean Pro EVS platform on major accounts in the health care and government sectors.

Virtual Mgr’s HealthClean Pro EVS platform helps clients manage staff across dispersed locations. The platform’s unique app tells clients when and where tasks were completed and how long they take to complete. Live data gives managers and executives unprecedented access to cost savings, compliance, quality improvements, and employee satisfaction, all with a few clicks from their mobile devices and tablets. As a result of using the HealthClean Pro platform, the performance of environmental services can be vastly improved, while costs can be reduced by 10 percent or more.

Clean Craft is using the HealthClean Pro EVS platform to help manage its work for Strong West, a health care facility that offers emergency care, imaging and lab services, primary care, orthopedic, cardiac, oncology and hematology, sleep medicine, neurology and urology services in Brockport, New York.

“Since integrating Virtual Mgr’s platform in early September, Clean Craft is already seeing significant efficiencies, which we are able to pass along to our own clients, as they strive to provide the highest level of care and facility cleanliness to patients and employees,” Clean Craft CEO Ty Hookway said. “Our cleaning teams are more productive and more accountable, procedures are in line with best practices and the access we — and our client — have to data and analytics regarding environmental services is incredibly useful.”

Job Options has engaged the HealthClean Pro EVS platform at several key facilities that the company cleans, including Naval Medical Center San Diego in San Diego, California, and health care facilities at the U.S. Army’s Fort Benning in Georgia. The company, which has been using the Virtual Mgr platform since May, says this new solution is a major improvement over other staff and project management systems that they’ve used in the past.

“Historically, platforms designed to increase efficiency and productivity in staff and task management have been very siloed — focusing only on one particular aspect of the environmental services function,” said Nazar Masry, vice president of health care and laundry operations at Job Options. “The HealthClean Pro EVS platform, however, provides efficiencies in all aspects of the work we do. In addition, it supports both management and employees — making everyone’s job’s easier — and improves safety, communication and productivity across the board.”

Ultimately, the benefits that clients like Clean Craft and Job Options are experiencing by using Virtual Mgr translate into success for the facilities that these companies provide service to. This success is illustrated through increased Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) scores and reduced health care-associated infections (HAIs).

“Health care facilities — and the EVS companies that service them — are extremely focused, for very good reasons, on outcomes. On the personal level, those outcomes include positive patient experiences and delivering the best possible environment for care — but institutional outcomes matter, as well,” said James Van Thof, vice president of sales and marketing for Virtual Mgr. “Increased HCAHPS scores and reduced HAIs are macro-measurements of how well the patient experiences are and how treatment is being delivered. Virtual Mgr’s HealthClean Pro EVS platform can be a key tool in improving the patient experience, the performance of health care facilities and the efficiency and productivity of the companies that provide these facilities with environmental services.”

Van Thof notes that the success Virtual Mgr can provide at all levels of the commercial cleaning and environmental services industry is delivering rapid growth for the company.

“Since launching the HealthClean Pro EVS platform in early 2016, the response we’ve had from clients and prospects has been exciting. Wins like this are validation that Virtual Mgr is meeting a real need in the commercial cleaning and environmental services industry —  filling a gap in service that many facilities have an initiative to close,” Van Thof said. “As we approach year-end and the start of a new financial year for many health care facilities and their environmental services firms, we’re anticipating even more new clients.”
