Industry urged to lead the way on climate change

The president and CEO of San Francisco-based Dignity Health system is urging the healthcare industry to lead the way on climate change and offers six ways healthcare facilities can reduce their environmental footprint, according to an article on the Fierce Healthcare website.

Lloyd Dean said hospitals can reduce their environmental footprint by:

• Using safer chemicals

• Launching green building and resiliency initiatives

• Consuming less energy, water and raw materials
