A soft aerated stream is produced when air and water mix in the faucet aerator’s mixing chamber. While drawing air from the room is no problem in residential and commercial applications, it can be a concern in healthcare institutions. The room air can contain harmful bacteria that if allowed to enter the fine droplets produced by the aerator add to the risk of contamination by inhalation.
The Careguard® product line, with its unique hygienic features: built-in Agion® anti-microbial protection, laminar stream (non-aerated) and screen less construction (no wire-mesh screen prone to lime build-up) that ranges from 1.0 gpm to 1.8 gpm makes it a perfect solution. The newly expanded Careguard® product line now includes pressure compensating 0.35 gpm and 0.5 gpm sprays, generating a ring of laminar streams.
