New products offer new design options and expand services to designers

For NeoCon 2018, Carnegie introduces new innovative textile solutions to meet wide-ranging needs within contract spaces.

New products include: Carnegie’s award-winning proprietary yarn, Xorel released in a new line of architectural textiles, called Xorel Vue, with distinct styles created using embroidery and crochet techniques; A greatly expanded acoustical offer with new styles for Xorel Artform panels for walls and ceilings, along with a new turnkey design service for designers and facility managers called Instant Artform; and finally, a new contemporary new upholstery line in collaboration with Gensler, called Line Art.

Xorel Vue is a new collection of architectural textiles that offer designers artful new ways to define and divide interior spaces. These unique textiles are created using crochet and embroidery techniques, which blur the line between artful craft and commercial functionality. Used at the window or as a vertical partition, privacy panel or space divider, each of the six patterns in the collection optimize natural light while allowing it to beautifully filter through crochet or embroidered shapes while casting shadows to surrounding surfaces. Created using Carnegie’s award-winning, proprietary Xorel textile, Vue provides a platform in which designers can creatively incorporate high performance, sustainable materials into interior settings.

Xorel Artform, Carnegie’s award-winning line of acoustic panels, is introduced in new shapes, patterns, and applications, significantly expanding the product’s creative and functional potential.

Three new shapes – Arc, Criss, and Cross – offer interlocking configurations that impart a woven quality to compositions. Circle panels, with four different sizes available in original and 3D versions, offer a freestyle approach to composition – a variety of sizes, textures, patterns, and colors can be combined to create endless visual statements.

Artform panels can now be installed with 3M strips – allowing for the easiest and most versatile wall mounting installation – as well as with ceiling mounted options ranging from hardware installation to suspension options. To complement the wide-range of options available, Carnegie introduces Instant Artform, a new online service that delivers an even more streamlined design and installation experience. Delivered through a highly intuitive online interface, Instant Artform allows users to select from a few key design aspects – layout, size, and color – and arrive at a complete acoustic solution in a fraction of the time.

Line Art, a new collection of high-performance upholstery textiles, was created by Carnegie in collaboration with Gensler. Line Art draws inspiration from the tactility and flexibility in sportswear, riffing on the time-honored stripe to offer a contemporary collection of dimensional, knit inspired designs. Four patterns - Fine Line, Break Line, Low Line, and High Line - feature horizontal stripes that deliver a strong visual graphics, as well as distinctive textures.
