Master Lock Safety Solutions has introduced two new safety tag products for improved lockout communication. The S297 maintenance tags and S4810 boxed roll of tags represent best practice identification solutions, and offer a durable, reliable, flexible and cost effective communication tool for employee use in restricted spaces. The products are available in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese for today’s diverse workplaces.
Both product series comply with OSHA standards for padlock identification. The S297 tags can be directly attached to personal padlocks and accepts a shackle up to 9/32 of an inch in diameter. Manufactured with durable laminated material designed to withstand the rigors of harsh and extreme environments, the material resists tearing to prevent the tag from being removed from the padlock. Each tag includes a section to write on for employee identification and project completion date. It is ideal for work areas where space is limited, such as around electrical panels.
The S4810 boxed roll of tags makes it easier to transport and store tags from one job site to another. Every box includes 100 one-time use tags printed on a perforated roll of polypropylene and tough enough to handle any conditions. These tags can also attach directly to padlocks, accepting shackle diameters up to 9/32 of an inch. Each tag has space for the employee’s name, date of work to be performed, and general comments.
“The new S297 and S4810 safety tags are great additions that help make work environments safer and protect employees,” said Matt Dudgeon, Director of Product Marketing–Safety, for Master Lock. “These tags provide clear, effective communication to meet OSHA standards. They are the right size for any job or facility, and can be attached with a personal padlock, which removes the hassle and problems associated with using zip ties.”
