$30 million health campus in the works near Phoenix

West Healthcare is developing this 20-acre Westgate Healthcare Campus in Glendale

A $30 million health campus will be built next to St. Joseph's Westgate Medical Center in Glendale, Ariz., according to The Phoenix Business Journal.

While it is located next to a hospital, it won't be considered a hospital campus, the article said.

The outpatient campus will include a continuum of care, such as medical office space, surgery centers, long-term care and skilled-nursing facilities.

"As we move toward preventive care and wellness, it's very important that patients have one location that's easily accessible in which all these services are conveniently organized," Dr. John Simon, the developer of the campus.
