Becker's Hospital Review gathers 34 of the most expensive hospital facility expansions or renovations announced or completed in 2016


Becker's Hospital Review recently listed on its website the most expensive hospital facility expansions or renovations announced or completed in 2016. 

Becker's coverage of facilities management news began in April 2016, so expansions or renovations prior to April are not included. The 34 projects listed each cost more than $200 million. The top two are:

• Miami-based Jackson Health System's $1.8 billion expansion plan includes the construction of a $253 million medical campus in Doral, Fla.

• Cleveland-based MetroHealth System plans to borrow $1.25 billion to build a new hospital on its main campus.
