American Time Announces EverAlert

American Time, a market leader in synchronized time solutions, announced today that it has launched EverAlert, an innovative visual display and campus-wide notification system that bolsters and extends routine institutional messaging and emergency communications.

EverAlert monitors existing school fire panel and lockdown circuits and instantly displays visual and audible emergency notifications if alarms are activated. Using a mobile device, notifications can also be triggered by authorized staff wherever intruder, fire or other safety and security threats are observed. The system then automatically emails or texts messages to campus or community security authorities for a rapid response.

EverAlert’s 22-inch high-definition color display grabs the attention of today’s visual learners, ensuring timely reaction to safety-critical and information-rich digital signage content:

·         Severe weather, fire, and security emergency alerts can be displayed in every classroom or limited to specified areas of the school, accompanied by tones and messages with instructions that support improved emergency and evacuation protocols.

·         Current weather, along with scheduled and instant messages, are configured using EverAlert’s intuitive scheduler, message builder and screen layout templates. Messages may be delivered district-wide, by building, or by individual classroom.

·         EverAlert functions as a classroom or hallway clock by displaying a large, attractive analog or digital clock image. Configurable features include countdown timer and synchronization with other clocks, bell schedules and computers throughout the school.

Northlake Christian School in Covington, Louisiana was an early adopter of the EverAlert emergency communication platform. “We liked the fact that the time display could link with other school systems, such as our fire alarm panel, and that we could send out announcements through it,” explained Mike Adams, director of technology for Northlake Christian School. “We wanted to make the investment early because it really resolved our problems of integrating a time panel, announcements and other building systems.”

“Our clocks and synchronized time systems are in half of the K-12 districts in the U.S., and we’ve observed schools struggling to improve their response to weather alerts and rapidly evolving lockdown protocols,” said Fred Bezat, EverAlert product manager at American Time. “We designed EverAlert to be flexible enough that schools can use it to communicate routine as well as critical notifications across their building or campus, in a format that serves as a synchronized clock and bell scheduler.”

With the choice of wired Ethernet or wireless connectivity, EverAlert displays are easy to install wherever 110 VAC is available. As a cloud-based solution, users can be confident they always have access to the latest features of EverAlert’s display management portal.
