Armstrong Ceiling Systems, the global leader in acoustical ceilings, has collaborated with Lutron Electronics, makers of lighting controls and automated shading solutions, to introduce a new integrated pocket and shading system for building perimeters.
This new pre-engineered solution provides seamless integration between the ceiling and shade pockets, simplifying the specification process and reducing installation time, cost, and hassle.
Engineered specifically for Lutron Sivoia® QS 100/150/300 Roller Shades, the new Armstrong Axiom® Building Perimeter Shade Pockets integrate with drywall and acoustical suspension systems for fit and finish and a seamless visual. In the past, ceilings, pockets, and shades required coordination between multiple trades, leading to higher cost installations and an unreliable finished visual.
“Providing best-in-class solutions to our customers is at the core of what we do,” remarked Jeff Hederick, Vice President of Commercial Marketing for Armstrong Ceiling Systems. “Lutron is known for its industry-leading shading solutions and providing world-class service to its customers, making the decision to align with them an easy one. This integrated, new solution will add tremendous value to both installers and end-users.”
Fast, Easy Installation
Seismic code compliant, Axiom Building Perimeter Shade Pockets install 12 times faster than drywall pockets and twice as fast as traditional pockets. They are also designed with an integral sub-bracket and wire harness to simplify the shade installation.
The Axiom Building Perimeter Shade Pocket with compatible Lutron shades will be on display at the Lutron Booth (#3145) at the Greenbuild International Conference and Expo (November 18-19 in Washington, DC) and at the Lutron Washington, DC, Experience Center (455 Massachusetts Avenue SW, Suite 770), which is one of several stops on the Greenbuild tour of local buildings.
