Aurora Health Care to invest $40 million in sports research center

Aurora will invest in Marquette University's Athletic Performance Research Center on its Milwaukee campus


Aurora Health Care will invest $40 million in the Marquette University  Athletic Performance Research Center planned for the school's downtown Milwaukee campus, according to an article on the Milwaukee Business Journal.

The university is developing the facility in partnership with the Milwaukee Bucks.

The investment by Aurora in the $120 million facility is the largest ever made by the Milwaukee healthcare system with a partner in its headquarters community.

The facility will focus on growing scientific research for the partner institutions and will function as a central hub for research evolving in emerging fields, including exercise physiology, athletic training, biomedical engineering, and fields involving nutrition and rehabilitation.
