BOMA: 360 Performance Program Welcomes Largest First Quarter Class

The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International’s BOMA 360 Performance Program welcomed the largest first quarter class of designees in the program’s history, conferring designations upon 78 commercial properties as more and more properties around the globe see the value the program offers. BOMA 360 also expanded its international presence with Akasaka Intercity, the third building in Japan to earn the designation.

The BOMA 360 Performance Program evaluates commercial properties in six major areas: building operations and management; life safety/security/risk management; training and education; energy; environment/sustainability; and tenant relations/community involvement. Since the program's inception in 2009, more than 1,600 designations have been conferred in nearly 70 markets worldwide. Earning a BOMA 360 designation offers buildings tangible results, measured through higher tenant retention and satisfaction scores, higher rental rates and documented operations and management savings and efficiencies as reported in designee surveys and by Kingsley Associates.

"The BOMA 360 program’s accelerating momentum underscores its value as an important differentiator in increasingly tight markets around the globe,” said BOMA International Chair Brian M. Harnetiaux, senior vice president of Asset Management at McCarthy Cook. “BOMA International is pleased to congratulate the latest class of BOMA 360 designees for embracing excellence in every aspect of building operations and management.”
