Bergen Joins Ecore Board of Directors


Ecore, a company that transforms reclaimed waste into performance surfaces that make people’s lives better, has added Jan Loeffler Bergen, president and CEO of Lancaster General Health system in Lancaster, Pa., to its Board of Directors. Bergen brings more than 30 years of healthcare experience including management of hospitals, ambulatory centers and rehabilitation centers to the board.

 

In her current position, Bergen provides executive leadership for the Lancaster General Health system, from its hospitals and suburban and downtown outpatient pavilions to its physician network and major service lines.  Previously, she was chief operating officer of the health system, focusing on operational performance, growth and integration of clinical services in support of population health management.

Before joining Lancaster General Health, Bergen served as senior vice president for Jefferson Health System’s Bryn Mawr Hospital, a 400-bed acute care facility in Bryn Mawr, Pa. Bergen also was president and CEO of Main Line Health System’s Bryn Mawr Rehabilitation Hospital, a 200-bed freestanding rehabilitation facility in Paoli, Pa.

“Jan’s extensive knowledge and expertise in healthcare operations makes her a vital asset to the team, helping elevate Ecore’s branding and product initiatives within the industry,” said Arthur Dodge, III, CEO and president of Ecore International.

Bergen earned her bachelor’s degree from Lafayette College in Easton, Pa., and completed master’s level courses in social work at Temple University in Philadelphia. She has participated in executive leadership programs from both Harvard Business School and Wharton at the University of Pennsylvania.

Bergen also is on the Board of Directors for the American Cancer Society, United Way, Lancaster County Business Group on Health, Lancaster County Community Foundation and Milton Hershey School/Hershey Trust Company.
