BlackBerry is considering a bacteria-free smartphone to become the secure mobile choice for the healthcare industry, according to an article on the Bloomberg website

“Healthcare workers have to be worried about one less thing to wipe down” with a bacteria-free handset, Chief Executive Officer John Chen said. said.

Medical equipment in patient rooms, including mobile phones, can carry bacteria through the hospital.

Hospital staffers are supposed to wipe their phone with alcohol before entering and exiting a patient’s room, but hospitals don’t know how effective alcohol wipes are at removing bacteria from phones.
