Boyd Industries Wins Townie Choice Award 5 Years Running

For the fifth straight year, Boyd Industries, leading manufacturer of dental equipment, has won the prestigious Townie Choice Awards for several dental products, including the M3000LC treatment chair and the BOS279 doctor chair. (1) These awards represent Boyd’s commitment to quality and promise to deliver the most reliable dental equipment on the market today.

In the Office Equipment category, Boyd took the top prize for patient chairs, receiving a full 31% of all votes. (1) The company’s popular orthodontic patient chairs feature ergonomic design characteristics that provide comfort for the patient while allowing easy access to the patient by the doctor or staff member. The chairs feature a programmable foot control with three memory settings, including a “Home” button that returns the chair to its starting position. DC motors located in the lift column base and back quietly move the chair through a variety of positions. Additionally, Boyd offers a variety of headrest and upholstery options for maximum comfort and aesthetics.

Also in the Office Equipment category, Boyd received first prize for its doctor and assistant seating. Most stools include ergonomic features to support the lumbar and promote good posture thus reducing dental staff fatigue. The stools can be color-coordinated to compliment many of the patient chairs Boyd offers. For maximum comfort, the BOS279 stool features a saddle seat and adjustable back with floating lumbar support. Because every individual is unique, both the seat angle and height of the chair are easily adjustable. The Boyd seating line won first place with 31% of all votes. (1)

Adrian LaTrace, CEO of Boyd Industries, says, “I’m pleased to congratulate Boyd’s outstanding team for their dedication and hard work. The 2017 Townie Choice Awards highlight Boyd’s continued commitment to quality, and the recognition by the doctors and staff members using our products is confirmation of the excellent work by the Boyd team. We’re proud to win the Patient Chair and Stools categories for five years in a row!”

Boyd’s commitment to quality is also symbolized through the company’s ISO 13485 certification. ISO 13485 is an internationally recognized standard governing requirements for quality management systems within the medical device industry. (2) While certification isn’t a requirement of the standard itself, companies that pursue certification, like Boyd Industries, demonstrate their commitment to the safety and quality of the medical devices they manufacture. In many cases, industry regulators look for certification as a way to verify that companies meet the requirements of this stringent ISO standard.

“Boyd’s commitment to excellence is demonstrated through honors like the Townie Choice Awards and the ISO 13485 certification. Our customers want to know and trust that the equipment they purchase comes from a company that cares about value. These honors help our customers know that Boyd is committed to providing the best, most reliable dental operatory equipment on the market today,” says LaTrace.
