MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. — Bradley Corp., the industry leader in designing superior hand washing solutions, has won a 2013 Product Innovation Award (PIA) presented by Architectural Products magazine for its new and beautifully streamlined VergeTM L-Series Lavatory System designed for the most upscale and refined commercial restroom applications.
Distinguished by its minimalist aesthetics and clean lines, the Verge L-Series features an attractive, molded and completely seamless basin made from Bradley’s durable and sustainable Evero natural quartz surface. The classic design of the basin, complemented by modern curves and lines, evokes a sense of timeless elegance and distinction. Verge L-Series is also one of the first hand washing basins to meet enhanced reach requirements. The shorter distance from basin edge to faucet provides an easier reach for hand washing.
The Verge L-Series scored high in PIA’s Restroom Products & Fixtures Category with the panel of nearly 50 independent industry professionals representing the architectural community who selected the most outstanding and innovative product solutions used in commercial buildings and institutions.
Verge adds minimalistic elegance and sustainable durability
The Verge L-Series is the champion of Bradley’s growing portfolio of decorative commercial plumbing fixtures. In addition to its sleek and elegant aesthetics, the L-Series delivers uncompromising durability and performance.
The unique basin shape effortlessly funnels water to the drain, minimizing standing water. The L-Series also features an optional 0.38 GPM water-conserving faucet, and comes with an attractive textured stainless steel trap cover to conceal plumbing elements.
The elongated basin is made of Bradley’s exclusive Evero natural quartz surface, a resilient natural composite material that is easily molded into seamless shapes. Evero fuses the elegance of quartz, the luminance of exotic materials, the eco-friendliness of a bio-based resin, and the low- maintenance qualities of a durable composite material. GREENGUARD-Certified as a low-emitting material, Evero’s considerable recycled content is ideal for sustainable high-end applications, as it contributes to LEED points.
Verge L-Series is ideal for every day usage in light to medium-traffic applications while being extremely easy to install, clean and maintain. The fixture creates a stunningly distinctive restroom space in the most upscale establishments including contemporary office buildings, hotel lobbies and hospitality areas, fine art establishments, retail and restaurant environments, spa resorts, and more.
“It is a great honor to receive the Product Innovation Award for the Verge L-Series,” said Jon Dommisse, director of global marketing and strategic development for Bradley. “We have received extremely positive feedback on our entire line of Verge Lavatory System models. The streamlined yet classic look of the L-Series elevates minimalistic elegance in upscale commercial restrooms to an even higher level, while the durability and low-maintenance qualities complete the package.”
2013 Product Innovation Award (PIA)
The third annual PIA program recognizes product ingenuity in the built environment, including product attributes, qualities, design, functionality and/or performance that go beyond the standard. Product evaluation is performed by a panel of judges who are experts in the field of architecture and specifying products.
“Building on the success of last year’s program, our third edition of the awards proves commercial building manufacturers are committed to, and are working arduously toward, delivering more sustainable products, as well as products that deliver better performance, life and affordability,” said Jim Crockett, editorial director, Architectural Products Magazine.
The PIA program represents a mechanism to impartially review products, Crockett continued, and highlight the items that this industry peer group has found innovative and worth investigating.
