Bradley’s Verge With Washbar Earns Multiple Product Design Awards

Bradley Corp., the industry leader in developing cutting edge all-in-one hand washing solutions, has won five product design awards and honors for its new completely touchless Verge® with WashBar™ Technology

Within several months of being introduced to the commercial washroom industry, the Verge with WashBar was recognized with design awards including a platinum Award for Design Excellence (ADEX), a gold award for Best of NeoCon, a gold Excellence in Design award, a silver Product Innovation Award, and a finalist Product Award/Bath Category.

WashBar’s award-winning clean+rinse+dry technology

Designed to enhance all the fundamentals of hand washing, the Verge with WashBar improves functionality, convenience, aesthetics and safety in washrooms. Inspired by feedback from design professionals around the world, the system integrates Bradley’s Verge basin in durable Evero® quartz material along with unique clean+rinse+dry functionality housed in the WashBar feature. The result is a single cohesive and elegant design that creates an inviting and intuitive space for a fresh and complete hand washing experience.

The smart WashBar, which houses soap, water and dryer, is designed with LED lighting and icons to visually orient users through the hand washing process. The WashBar also features a one-gallon soap container that requires fewer refills. When the low level LED indicator illuminates, the soap container is replaced with a new full container. The dryer is engineered to balance airflow and noise, and works in tandem with the bowl to minimize water splashes on the user and floor, maximizing user safety.

Technology used in the WashBar also provides water-, energy- and maintenance timesaving features, including a 0.5 GPM or ultra-high efficient 0.35 faucet option and a large replaceable soap dispenser. Its adjustable speed hand dryer dries hands in 12-15 seconds with a comfortable heated air stream, and is 96% less expensive to use than paper towels.

As one of the judges commented on Verge with WashBar’s features:  “Integration of water/soap/dryer into one location is quite unique and solves a number of problems inherent with the hand washing process. Keeps all functions in one location, confining water and any associated spray from hand dryer at the sink; also like the faucet’s feature that automatically runs after sitting idle for a period of time, reducing the risk of bacteria buildup.”

Achieving a hand washing connection with users

“We developed this all-in-one solution to make hand washing more accessible, comfortable and convenient in every type of washroom,” said Jon Dommisse, director of global marketing and strategic development for Bradley. “Winning prestigious awards from a cross section of industries illustrates how well the Verge with WashBar connects with users in all types of applications.”
