Minnesota healthcare and law enforcement officials released a list of best practices


Minnesota healthcare and law enforcement officials have released a list of best practices to creating an hospital/police partnership, according to an article on the Campus Safety website.

The Health Care and Law Enforcement Collaboration Road Map is the result of a joint effort involving the Minnesota Hospital Association, the Minnesota Department of Health and the Minnesota Sheriff’s Association.

The road map gives 16 features of effective partnerships with law enforcement. It can also be used to enhance workplace violence prevention efforts and accompanying gap analysis, the article said.

The first step is creating an interdisciplinary safety team that includes law enforcement partners.
