Today’s healthcare facilities have fewer visible wires and cables. Systems that incorporate wires and cables into furniture, provide connections in open spaces or otherwise minimize their aesthetic impact help improve visual appeal, the article said.

The electrical and data infrastructure can also help nurses deliver better care. Enhanced communications, better lighting and easy access to electronic patient information all play a role in more productive nurse stations, according to the article.
