Cancer center renovation to include floor-to-ceiling windows

Riverview Medical Center expansion will feature a 29,000-square-foot addition, as well as physical, visual, and technical upgrades

The expansion and renovation of the Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, N.J., will feature a 29,000-square-foot addition and include floor-to-ceiling windows, according to an article on the Healthcare Construction + Operations website.

The windows will be installed in each of 20 infusion bays, which will provide patients with a view of the nearby Navesink River.

The inpatient unit will get private patient rooms with individual bathrooms and showers, a new respite suite and family conference area, a physician work room, and enhanced nurses work stations.

Similar expansions and renovations at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, N.J., Ocean Medical Center in Brick, N.J., Southern Ocean Medical Center in Manahawkin, N.J., and Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune City, N.J., are planned to be complete in 2017.
