Caterpillar Inc. announced the breadth of power solutions and expertise for the healthcare industry that the company will showcase at the American Society for Health Care Engineering’s (ASHE) International Summit & Exhibition on Health Facility Design, Planning & Construction (PDC), to be held March 17-20 in Phoenix, Ariz.
Caterpillar is sponsoring the keynote presentation titled “Embrace Your Awesomeness” by Brad Montgomery, a 2014 inductee into the Council of Peers Award for Excellence (CPAE)® Speaker Hall of Fame.
Located in booth 1107, Caterpillar experts will provide details on Cat® power solutions that ensure critical life support power for some of the world’s largest hospitals. These solutions include new diesel generator sets that feature a smaller footprint and up to 44 percent more power density than competitive power solutions on the market today.
The Caterpillar team will also provide details on turnkey testing and reporting solutions for meeting Joint Commission requirements.
“While power has traditionally played a critical role in the delivery of the highest standards of patient care, it is now also indispensable in capturing, storing and analyzing the mountains of data that provide deeper insights,” said Joel Feucht, general manager for Caterpillar’s Large Electric Power business. “Caterpillar is ideally positioned to support healthcare facilities with the products, expertise and local support of the Cat dealer network that contribute to healthier communities.”
More than 3,200 senior leaders from hospitals, design firms, and construction companies attend the ASHE PDC Summit to share perspectives on optimizing healing environments. The programming offers cutting-edge topics affecting the future of the health care built environment and presents thought-provoking research and presentations focusing on cross-team collaboration, PDC sustainability, designing for future generations, technology integration, and other topics.
Caterpillar delivers innovative power systems engineered to deliver exceptional durability, reliability and value. The company offers worldwide product support, with parts and service available globally through the Cat authorized service and dealer network. In addition, dealer service technicians are trained to service every aspect of Cat equipment.
