As the healthcare picture changes, Connecticut's New Milford Hospital is adjusting, according to an article on the News Times website.
The healthcare facilities has experienced consolidations and streamlining of services.
"Our focus is now that of a primary care and preventative medicine hub," said Dr. Thomas Koobatian, the hospital's executive director and director of emergency services. "With health and wellness now key in medical care, community hospitals are boots on the ground providing that care. And New Milford is ready."
"I have extended an invitation for primary care physicians to move their offices to the hospital," Koobatian said. "We don't want the hospital to be in competition with our primary care doctors. We view our partnership as being a collaborative one."
