(Farmington, CT) The Center for Advanced Reproductive Services held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, February 11th, welcoming numerous dignitaries and supporters to celebrate the official opening of its new world-class fertility facility located at 2 Batterson Park Road, Farmington. In his opening remarks thanking everyone involved in the project, Robert Patricelli, Women’s Health USA Chairman and CEO, commented, “Magic is done here.”
The Center’s facility was custom designed by a team of international fertility experts and local advisors. The new facility features one of the most highly advanced IVF labs in the world including an innovative air purification and irradiation technology called the LifeAire System. New data from in vitro fertilization programs using LifeAire System demonstrates dramatic increases in clinical pregnancies through in vitro fertilization. According to Robert Patricelli, “When our internationally based environmental consultant came through and measured the air quality of this facility, she said it was the best she had ever tested anywhere in the U.S. and maybe in the world. What that means is higher success rates for patients.”
Combined, all of the innovative design, engineering and environmental solutions featured in the new location will assist the Center in achieving better embryo development, improved embryo implantation rates, and higher pregnancy rates by minimizing or eliminating the negative impact of toxic environmental factors along with an increased ability to maintain quality controls.
The Center is affiliated with the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and runs the fellowship program in Reproductive Medicine and Infertility at the University of Connecticut Health Center. Its new location is easy accessible from Rt. 84 as well as other main routes throughout the state. In addition to the facility’s numerous technological innovations, the overall design philosophy was focused on enhancing the patient’s comfort and convenience. The building provides a relaxing, warm and supportive environment and offers substantial space for educational programs, workshops, and counseling programs.
The Center for Advanced Reproductive Services is managed by In Vitro Sciences, Inc., a subsidiary of Women's Health USA, Inc. Women's Health USA is a family of companies dedicated to providing the best in business management solutions in partnership with physicians. “Women’s Health USA is proud to be a partner and funder in the creation of what will be Connecticut’s leading fertility center,” stated Robert Patricelli. Other partners involved with the project included Webster Bank and The Master’s Construction Corporation.
