King County declares an emergency after a ninth death was reported in Washington state, according to an article on the Q13Fox website.

The ninth person died at a Seattle healthcare facility and was a resident of LifeCare Center in Kirkland, which is at the center of an outbreak in western Washington. Washington's death toll is now 10.

King County Executive Dow Constantine issued an emergency declaration to allow additional resources in the effort to contain the coronavirus. “We will direct all available resources to help cities, healthcare facilities, businesses, and families continue life as normally as possible."
