CynergisTek Extends Managed Print Services Contract with Yale New Haven Health

CynergisTek, a leader in healthcare cybersecurity and information management, announced that Yale New Haven Health System (YNHHS) has renewed and extended its Managed Print Services (MPS) contract with the company. YNHHS, the largest health system in Connecticut, initially engaged with CynergisTek in 2015 to leverage its MPS services to drive financial and operational improvements.

CynergisTek’s MPS program supports 10,856 YNHHS devices, including printers, copiers, faxes, scanners, thermals, and specialty printers (label and wristband printers) across 230 of the health system’s numerous locations. Through detailed assessments of YNHHS’ existing print structure, CynergisTek provided immediate savings by addressing the thermals and high color print volume, while providing greater device support and integration. With the extended contract, YNHHS will realize continued savings through a collaborative effort to reduce color volume by implementing technology and training, and decreasing print output. This comprehensive approach allows for superior pricing, customer service and technology, and can be customized to address the complex print environment that exists in healthcare.

“We are proud that such a renowned institution has gotten so much value out of our MPS solutions that it has decided to renew our agreement. With our support, YNHHS is able to focus on its primary task of providing quality patient care while ensuring security and compliance across its enterprise,” said Mac McMillan, CEO and President at CynergisTek. “Under this new contract, we will continue to work with YNHHS to help achieve significant cost savings while at the same time eliminating administrative inefficiencies.”

CynergisTek MPS services entail managing and optimizing a high-volume print environment while reducing the security vulnerabilities of associated devices. The company is at the forefront of providing specialized knowledge of hospital print environments that ensures cost reduction through continuous process improvements and operational efficiency.
