Distech Controls introduces ECLYPSE and ENVYSION

By Healthcare Facilities Today

Brossard, QC, — Distech Controls, an innovation leader in energy management solutions, today announced the launch of both its ECLYPSE™ Connected IP and Wi-Fi Product Series, and ENVYSION responsive, web-based design and visualization interface. Providing powerful connectivity, and advanced control, monitoring and analysis, these new offerings prepare users for the Internet of Things building.

Distech Controls’ ECLYPSE Connected System Controller is a modular and scalable platform providing BACnet/IP, wired and wireless IP connectivity, permitting integration with building management systems and convergence with IT networks. It consists of a control automation and connectivity server, power supplies, and I/O modules, allowing users to select the type and number of modules to meet their exacting requirements, and easily add-on for future upgrades.

The company is also proud to introduce ENVYSION, web-based graphic design and visualization interface, delivering the art and science of actionable visual knowledge and powerful user experience.  It can be embedded in an ECLYPSE Connected System Controller or hosted on EC-NetAX (coming soon), powered by the NiagaraAX Framework®, building management system to create advanced user interfaces, from single equipment to complete views of a BMS. ENVYSION enhances mobility with its responsive, HTML 5 interface, for an optimal experience across different user devices.

Leveraging IT infrastructure to deliver a powerful control and monitoring solution, the ECLYPSE Connected System Controller minimizes the traditional installation and ownership costs of a building management system. This convergence eliminates the requirement for managing multiple networks, and greatly reduces the need for cabling and other materials, as well as the associated costs of installing, maintaining and upgrading them.

Distech Controls’ commitment to open standards, combined with the ECLYPSE connectivity platform, readies buildings for the future, and supports continually evolving technology. The open REST API facilitates data exchange and provides unique opportunities for value-added services, with the ever expanding range of available Internet of Things building management and tenant services applications.

Providing the flexibility to choose ones implementation and integration architecture, the ECLYPSE Connected System Controller can either be paired with ENVYSION for a completely autonomous solution, or used as part of an integrated building management solution, with EC-NetAX. The latter allows for multi-system integration and larger or multi-location applications, expanding the capabilities of existing EC-NetAX building management systems with ECLYPSE connectivity options.

Distech Controls’ ECLYPSE Connected System Controller is to receive an honorable mention at the upcoming AHR Innovation Awards in Chicago. Selected by a panel of judges made up of ASHRAE members, it has been recognized in the Building Automation category.

“Distech Controls has always prided itself in being at the forefront of building automation innovation,” said Etienne Veilleux, President and CEO of Distech Controls. “ECLYPSE and ENVYSION take this promise to new heights, preparing for next generation buildings. To be recognized for our new offering by the AHR Expo Innovation Awards is truly an honor and reinforces this commitment,” Veilleux added.

The 2015 AHR Expo will be taking place from January 26th to the 28th, 2015. Distech Controls invites those attending to come visit their booth, #3623, to learn more about ECLYPSE and ENVYSION in addition to a selection of the company’s latest innovations.

These new products will also be presented at the upcoming ISH trade fair in Frankfurt, Germany from March 10th to the 14th.
