Diversey Care to Sell Discovery Robotics’ Machines under its TASKI Brand


Sealed Air (NYSE: SEE) announced that its Diversey Care division has agreed on terms to sell and distribute Discovery Robotics’ autonomous floor cleaning machines under its TASKI brand.

Under the agreement, Diversey Care will have the exclusive license to sell Discovery Robotics floor cleaning machines in the Americas and Europe. In addition, Diversey Care will have non-exclusive rights in all other global territories.

“Discovery Robotics has created a leading-edge solution based on 3D lidar, sonar, ultrawide band and other technologies to create a patent-pending indoor navigation and localization system. Diversey Care is committed to leading the Jan/San industry with robotics that deliver improved performance at lower overall costs and with an improved sustainability profile. This agreement reinforces our strategy to own the space by designing, building and partnering, as needed, to stay ahead of the competition while bringing substantial new value to our customers and shareholders,” said Thomas Boscher, General Manager of Intellibot Robotics at Diversey Care.

Kent McElhattan, CEO of Discovery Robotics, said, “Our agreement with Diversey Care is a positive validation of our robotic solution and product vision. We believe this partnership with Diversey Care will energize more rapid market adoption of robotics and is critical to our success. It will allow us to leverage Diversey Care’s global sales and distribution network, their field support network and their many years of working with robotic floor cleaning equipment.”

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed and is not material to Sealed Air’s financial results.
