A Syracuse doctor has been fired for hiding two surveillance cameras in a bathroom of Crouse Hospital's intensive care unit, according to an article on the Syracuse.com website.

The doctor, who also faces criminal charges, said he hid the cameras to catch the person who'd stolen his prescription medication and a camera.

One camera was taped to the ridge of a trash can and the other was attached to a toilet paper dispenser, according to police reports.

A custodian spotted the cameras and reported the discovery to hospital security, who notified police.
