Dubai hospital failed safety tests three times before fatal fire

25 people were killed and 123 were injured in a massive fire at Jazan General Hospital

The Jazan General Hospital in Dubai, where 25 people were killed and 123 were injured in a massive fire, had reportedly failed three times to pass safety tests, according to an article on the Gulf News.

Several witnesses reported that emergency doors were closed and people were unable to escape through them.

The hospital in southern Saudi Arabia has not able to pass the accreditation by the Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI) since 2013 while all sections failed to reach the required standards.

The hospital scored a 16 percent in the building safety test.
