Eaton delivers enhanced efficiency for emergency and auxiliary lighting applications with New 93PM UL 924 UPS models

Power management company Eaton today announced the launch of its new 93PM UL 924 uninterruptible power system (UPS) solutions, offering models developed specifically for emergency lighting and power that range from 20-120 kilovolt-amperes (kVA), as well as auxiliary lighting and power-listed models from 20-200 kVA. Expanding to include auxiliary lighting and power-listed equipment for the first time, Eaton’s 93PM UL 924 UPS portfolio gives customers the ability to tailor their lighting solutions based on their existing environments and requirements while reducing operating expenses through Eaton’s industry-leading efficiency.

Compliance with NFPA 101–otherwise known as the Life Safety Code–and other related building requirements is critical for commercial structures to facilitate safe and quick occupant egress during a building fire or other emergency situation. Eaton offers customers the flexibility to choose how to satisfy those requirements: either by using Eaton’s UL 924 emergency systems or pairing a generator with Eaton’s UL 924 auxiliary listed systems. Backed by Eaton’s award-winning 24/7 service team, the 93PM UL 924 emergency and auxiliary lighting and power UPS models are designed to satisfy commercial regulatory requirements with the industry's most efficient and best-supported solutions.

“From commercial buildings to parking lots, no facility or other occupied environment can afford to be without lighting in the event of an emergency,” said Robert Sebald, lead systems engineer, Eaton. “Building managers are constantly challenged to ensure their emergency lighting systems are powered at optimal levels and compliant with industry regulations. Eaton’s 93PM UL 924 UPS integrates with our customers’ existing facilities and equipment, while delivering centralized management and crucial compliance with industry regulations to help systems stay up and running.”

The 93PM UL 924 UPS helps customers reduce costs through its industry-leading efficiency of up to 97 percent in double-conversion mode and up to 99 percent with Eaton’s Energy Saver System (ESS) technology, which comes standard on 93PM UL 924 units. The platform provides customers with the option to centralize the management of required regulatory testing so they no longer have to individually test their emergency lighting equipment on a monthly or annual basis. Additionally, the 93PM UL 924 UPS conserves valuable floor space by providing top exhaust and top entry options, full-service access from the front and innovative maintenance solutions.
