Eaton launches Power Xpert 9395 high performance UPS

Power management company Eaton today announced the Power Xpert™ 9395 high performance model uninterruptible power system (UPS) in the Americas, providing best-in-class efficiency and scalable battery runtimes for data centers, light industrial applications and multi-tenant data centers (MTDCs). Eaton’s newest solution builds upon the technological leadership of its flagship Power Xpert™ 9395 UPS, delivering a unity power factor rated with 275 kilowatt (kW) modules at a power rating of 675-1100 kW/kVA that offers up to ten percent more power within the same footprint to help customers reduce total cost of ownership (TCO).

With the growing power demands of large facilities and MTDCs, customers need powerful UPS systems to support their critical business processes. Bringing UPS capabilities to the next level for data center facility and information technology (IT) managers, the Power Xpert 9395 high performance model delivers up to 99 percent efficiency across most loads through Eaton’s groundbreaking Energy Saver System and industry leading double-conversion efficiency up to 97 percent.

“Building on Eaton’s longstanding history and industry expertise, the enhancements to the Power Xpert 9395 UPS provide innovative capabilities for customers to build a modern power protection strategy,” said John Collins, product line manager, Eaton. “By allowing customers to increase efficiency while saving on utility costs and space, Eaton’s Power Xpert 9395 high performance UPS provides a best-in-class solution among the lowest TCO in the industry so customers can maximize their return on investment. Eaton’s double-conversion efficiency is once again the industry’s highest among leading vendors.”

In 2007, the Power Xpert 9395 UPS became one of the industry’s first transformerless UPS on the market and now has over 9,300 units installed worldwide. With the launch of its latest solution, Eaton is extending its best-in-class portfolio of efficient UPSs. Producing up to 33 percent less heat without sacrificing reliability, Eaton’s Power Xpert 9395 high performance UPS provides enhanced efficiency while also being engineered to significantly reduce HVAC and other operational costs. Supporting up to ten percent more IT racks, the Power Xpert 9395 high performance model is an ideal fit for end-users aiming to cut operating costs. With a modular design, the Power Xpert 9395 high performance model also enhances reliability and provides data centers with an advanced scalability architecture – allowing them to scale as they grow and avoid unnecessary investments in excess capacity.

The Power Xpert 9395 high performance UPS’s advanced touchscreen liquid crystal display (LCD) combines aesthetics with ease-of-use and reliability. The innovative and sleek design of the touchscreen shares graphical energy data to help data center and facility operators better manage power consumption and costs.
