Eaton to Showcase advanced LED lighting technology, scalable controls and The Lighting reSOURCE at Greenbuild International

Power management company Eaton, a 2015 ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year, will showcase its advanced light-emitting diode (LED) technology and scalable control systems at Greenbuild® International, the world’s largest conference and expo dedicated to green building. Held November 18 through 20 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington D.C., visitors to Eaton’s booth 511 can also explore The Lighting reSOURCE, a 24/7 online hub providing lighting industry professionals from veteran to novice with information, news and original content designed to inspire and educate.

“Our fast-paced industry is constantly changing with new regulations and advanced technologies,” Kraig Kasler president, Eaton’s Lighting Division. “Visitors to the Eaton booth will learn about the latest innovations in LED lighting and controls solutions for both indoor and outdoor environments. LED lighting systems are becoming a sophisticated network of fixtures, sensors and control devices that offer customers increased visual performance, energy savings and added control flexibility.”

Eaton will showcase its award-winning WaveStream™ LED technology and AccuLED Optics™ system, as well as its Integrated Sensor Control System, which allows for occupancy sensing, turning light off when the spaces are unoccupied; daylight harvesting that reduces light level when natural light enters the space; and dimming capabilities, allowing users to set maximum light levels lower than full brightness. The system also provides personal control with hand-held remotes for employees to dim their personal lighting to their preferred setting.

The Lighting reSOURCE is designed to engage Eaton’s community of architects, builders, designers, engineers and lighting specifiers to stay informed, learn and get inspiration. The site features original content about lighting industry trends, regulations and innovations, as well as energy information and tools. The site also includes photo galleries to inspire designs and an educational section featuring Building Information Modeling (BIM) content and training information from Eaton’s industry-leading educational center, the SOURCE. Lastly, The Lighting reSOURCE is home to the company’s annual SOURCE Awards national lighting design competition for students and professionals.
