Eerie photographs show Georgia hospital frozen in time

Records and syringes full of blood are exactly where they were left 15 years ago at the 'Bad Debt Hospital'


Eerie photographs on the Daily Mail website show Hancock Memorial Hospital, Sparta, Ga., frozen in time.

Hancock was forced to close down in 2001 because of heavy debts incurred in the early '70s and '80s.

Photos of the "Bad Debt Hospital" show syringes strewn across the floor, confidential medical records piled up in boxes and surgery rooms left in a state of disarray, the article said.

After the closure, no one came back to remove the equipment or electronics. The Hancock County Hospital Authority still owns the facility and hopes to one day reopen.
