Woman's body was found two miles away from facility nearly a month after she disappeared

A Pennsylvania nursing facility's security is being questioned after the body of an Alzheimer's patient was found nearly a month after she wandered away from the facility, according to an article on The Morning Call website.

The 77-year-old woman's body was found in a ditch about two miles away from the Allentown facility.

Days after the disappearance, Woodland Terrace issued a statement that the home was reviewing safety measures and testing its security systems.

“We continue to test our systems and review resident safety and security measures to ensure that all technology and processes continue to work effectively,” according to the statement.
