Faucet company receives honor for exemplary manufacturing practices within California

SANTA ANA, CA – Newport Brass, manufacturers of premium solid brass faucets and fittings for residential and commercial projects, has been honored as a member of the Made in California™ program awarded by the non-profit organization California Manufacturing Technology Consulting (CMTC). CMTC promotes the importance of California companies’ manufacturing processes by working closely with state and federal legislators including the U.S. Department of Commerce. CMTC has high standards for the companies that are admitted to the Made in California™ program for not only innovation but customer satisfaction.

Newport Brass has more than doubled in size since the brand’s introduction in 1989. Its parent company, Brasstech Inc., was already a recognized leader in the plumbing industry established in 1987. Newport Brass has become known for excellent service, fast delivery turnaround time and was one of the first companies to offer a multitude of finishes for their product lines, including one of the first facilities to implement PVD processing in-house.

“We are pleased to partner with the Made in California™ program,” said David Emmons, marketing director for Brasstech, Inc. “CMTC has recognized our company as manufacturing some of the best faucets and fixtures within California. With a broad dealer network nationwide, our track record proves that our business model is top notch. However, being recognized by the Made in California™ program will help increase our company visibility even further as well as reinforce and support our commitment for manufacturing in the state.

In addition, Newport Brass recently announced the extension of single-hole lavatory faucets to several of their already popular collections. The new single-hole faucets are available in 27 decorative finishes. Among the new single-hole collections, the Metropole boasts octagon shaped crystal handles or smooth solid brass handles available in two heights for standard or vessel sinks. The faucet’s single control lever handle pivots above the spout becoming a delicate ensemble of classicism merged into modernity. Another single-hole faucet just introduced, the Jacobean, is reminiscent of a Victorian water pump with its high curved, tubular spout and handle on the side. Also, a timeless design, the symmetrical Miro, has a contoured spout with an elegant handle. To round out the new collections, Aylesbury has an Old World appeal with a unique flared spout. All these faucets can be used in a variety of applications and design aesthetics, are eco-friendly, WaterSense® labeled and meet CALGreen standards.
