Fire Department Responds to Hazmat Situation at Arizona Hospital

Hospital operations remained uninterrupted as the fire department tended to the scene.

Tucson, Arizona-based Northwest Hospital experienced a “hazmat” situation earlier this week. 

Northwest Fire Department was dispatched to the hospital after a receiving a call for a building fire, KVOA 4 Tucson reports. At the scene, crews were able to determine it was a hazmat situation and not a fire. 

The odor came from a malfunctioning piece of equipment near an unoccupied ambulance bay, KVOA 4 Tucson reports. Hospital operations were not disrupted as crews tended to the scene.
