Flagship Healthcare Properties Geographically Aligns Property Management Services

Flagship Healthcare Properties (Flagship), a commercial healthcare real estate firm, has announced plans to align the firm’s property management arm. As part of the strategic growth plan and to better service new and existing clients, Flagship has appointed three regional vice presidents of property management and opened a new office in Tampa, FL.

Flagship is transforming its property management service line into a more regional-based structure, dividing management into three distinct regions – North, South and Central. Each region will be overseen by a vice president who is responsible for directing in-house and third-party managers, managing contractor and vendor services and working directly with property owners and tenants. They will also supervise all aspects of financial reporting and budgeting, working closely with accounting and the needs of individual ownerships.

“Over the past few years, we’ve been focusing on growing our business both internally and externally,” said Joseph Shull, partner and executive vice president, property management. “As our client portfolio continues to increase throughout the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic, so does our need to offer these clients more accessible, on-site support and dedicated staff members.”

The three regional vice presidents of property management are Mavis Giska, Kyle Kneeland and Polly Taylor. Taylor was hired in April 2019. Her previous experience includes the implementation of capital plans, tenant nurturing and management of office, medical, flex, industrial and retail properties as well as master associations. Responsible for managing the Central region, Taylor is based out of Flagship’s headquarters in Charlotte, focusing on clients throughout the Carolinas.

Kneeland was promoted from property manager in June 2019. Kneeland oversees the North region, handling client portfolios in Virginia, eastern North Carolina, Tennessee and Kentucky. He is based out of Flagship’s office in the Richmond, VA area. Giska was previously vice president of property management, overseeing the firm’s entire portfolio of managed properties. A proven leader and mentor within the property management department, she has been instrumental in the firm’s success, helping grow its managed portfolio by approximately 150% in the six years since she joined. Giska now oversees Flagship’s South region and is responsible for the property management portfolio in Florida, Georgia, Louisiana and Alabama. In conjunction with her promotion, she relocated to Flagship’s new office in Tampa, FL, which was opened on June 1.

“Our people are our greatest asset at Flagship, and we’re excited to see these strong leaders embrace and grow our newly created regional structure,” said Brannen Edge, co-managing partner and president of Flagship. “With new locations and a more efficient organizational structure, we can better serve our clients, connect with prospects and continue growing our team and our geographic footprint.”
