The Energy Center of Wisconsin, as part of their Energy Center University, will offer a free program specifically discussing energy efficiency in healthcare facilities from 12:30 to 8 p.m. June 27 in Madison, Wis.

Designed for those involved in healthcare facilities operations, the first presentation, “Energy efficient building systems in healthcare facilities,” will explore opportunities to improve the performance of various building components. It will take an in-depth look at the energy-savings potential of HVAC (focus on cooling, air handling and ventilation) and hot-water systems.

The second presentation, “Energy economics in healthcare facilities,” will shift discussion to the business side of energy management. This portion of the education series is designed to bridge the gap between healthcare facility professionals and utility representatives.

A one-hour social will take place between the two presentations to provide an opportunity for participants to network with other industry professionals.
